Öschberghof & Weimarer Land go EURO2024

01/2024 - This year, the high-calibre national football teams from Spain, England and Germany are using our two resorts 'Der Öschberghof' (ESP) and the 'Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land' to prepare for Euro2024 or to stay there during the tournament. This means that Harry Kane, Jordi Alba, Manuel Neuer and the other stars can use our golf courses during the camps as an ideal balance to their everyday training.

11/2023 - As part of the award gala "The 101 best hotels in Germany 2023", the first independent hotel award in Germany, 2 of our courses were placed in the TOP 7 of the best German golf resorts: Winner 'Der Öschberghof' in Donaueschingen (45 holes / Baden-Württemberg) and 6th place for the 'Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land' (45 holes / Thuringia). Bytom expands

11/2023 - Work is underway to expand the Armada Golf Club Bytom in Poland to 18 holes. Together with Städler & Reinmuth Golfdesign, the investor Michal Goli is completing a unique golf project on the 90-hectare industrial wasteland near the city of Bytom.

Remodelling at Golf Resort Semlin

10/2023 - The 27-hole Golf Resort Semlin am See in the beautiful Havelland near Berlin commissioned Städler & Reinmuth Golfdesign to redesign its 18th hole. In particular, the work on the pond extension will significantly increase the attractiveness of the 18th hole and its island green.

Groundbreaking in Bottrop-Kirchhellen

10/2023 - At the Golfclub Schwarze Heide in Bottrop-Kirchhellen, construction work started on the renovation of the tees that we have planned for the golf club. In addition to the structural renovation of some existing tees, via resurfacing or remodelling, some tees are also created completely new. Further redesign measures are already being planned for the next few years.

SRG at the Ryder Cup 2023 in Rome

Sallandsche GC renovates two holes

09/2023 - The Sallandsche Golf Club understands course development as a continuous process. Therefore, it commissioned Städler & Reinmuth Golfdesign to update the "Long Term Development Plan" from 2016. On this basis, holes 14 and 16 are now receiving a comprehensive redesign.

Start of construction in Rozenstein

04/2023 - At the Wassenaarse Golfclub Rozenstein in Zuid-Holland, construction work started on the redesign of the 14th green. The entire green complex will be enlarged, receive a modern superstructure and considerably more pin positions.

Masterplan for the Lucerne Golf Club

03/2023 - Lucerne Golf Club, located on Lake Lucerne and which began play as early as 1903, commissioned Städler & Reinmuth Golfdesign with a comprehensive course development concept for the long-term improvement of its 18-hole course.

Öschberghof relies on storage

03/2023 - As of this spring, the Öschberghof in Donaueschingen will have two large new storage ponds on its Old Course, planned by us, which will create additional retention space and complete the Öschberghof's sustainable water management concept.

Update for the Rosendaelsche

02/2023 - Some new green surrounds with run-offs as well as some new bunkers, paths and heather areas are currently being implemented at Rosendaelsche Golf Club. The measures we are planning will further enhance the Dutch top course and make it shine again for the next LET Tour event.

08/2022 - The 9 holes of the 'Königin Luise Course' are open. This means that members and guests of the Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land now have 45 varied golf holes at their disposal. This is also a celebration for us: now our 55th golf course is on the market.

2 new ponds for the Öschberghof

08/2022 - Two new storage ponds planned by us will soon be built on the Old Course of the Öschberghof in Donaueschingen. They are intended to close a threatening supply gap in particularly hot and low-precipitation summers, to create additional retention space and to ensure the protection of water as a resource.

Masterplan for the Golf Club Varmert

07/2022 - The Varmert Golf Club in Sauerland, which began play in 1978, commissioned Städler & Reinmuth Golfdesign with a comprehensive course development concept. This will provide the club with a guidepost for the medium- to long-term improvement of its 18-hole course.

Queens Park Rangers as guests in Weimar

07/2022 - The professionals of Queens Park Rangers made a guest appearance at 'our' Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land for their summer training camp and praised the location as the best they have experienced so far. The team of the English second division club thus inaugurated the new football pitch, which is located in the centre of the Goethe Course and surrounded by golf courses.

Update for Senne Golfclub Gut Welschof

06/2022 - The Senne Golfclub Gut Welschof commissioned Städler & Reinmuth Golfdesign with a comprehensive course development concept, which is to serve the golf club as a guide for the medium to long-term improvement of 'our' golf course from 1992.

5 Years Golf Park Hufeisensee

05/2022 - The initiator and investor, Norbert Labuschke, can be justifiably proud of 'his' golf course in Halle on the Saale. We celebrated the 5th anniversary of the course together, and the course presented itself with perfect greens. The multifunctional facility with 18-hole championship course, short course, football golf course and new adventure course offers a complete range of activities. And the Labuschke family is not running out of ideas. It will be interesting to see what other projects they realise in the coming years.

9 holes for Villmar-Weyer

03/2022 - The planned 9-hole golf course in Villmar-Weyer near Limburg in Hesse will later offer attractive views of the Hintertaunus and the Limburg basin. And the investor is already giving us advance praise at the start of the project: "High praise: rarely have we worked together with someone who works so quickly and provides so well-founded input".

Bades Huk is our No. 54

10/2021 - The soft opening of the second nine at Bades Huk took place in late autumn. This means the course now has 18 holes, which will be handed over to all members and guests at an official ceremony in spring 2022. Our 54th golf course is thus in play.

Tim Lobb new EIGCA President

10/2021 - At the EIGCA Annual General Meeting in Cardiff/Wales, Tim Lobb was elected as the new EIGCA President, taking over from Christoph Städler who became 'Immediate Past President' after 2.5 years in office and after 9 years on the Board. The new Vice President is Caspar Grauballe from Denmark.

Masterplan 2.0 for the Rosendaelsche

10/2021 - Rosendaelsche Golf Club sees renovation and course development as a continuous process. Therefore, it commissioned Städler Golf Courses to update the 2010 course development concept. With the update, the club intends to continue to set up its excellent 18-hole course in a modern and well-equipped manner for the future, even after more than 125 years.

Groundbreaking in Morsum on Sylt

09/2021 - At golf club Morsum on Sylt, construction work started on the renovation of the course, which we planned for the golf club. In addition to the structural renovation of some tees, partly with the installation of a frieze wall along one tee side, other functional areas are being redesigned.

Start of construction in Castrop-Rauxel

09/2021 - The redesign measures at the Golfclub Castrop-Rauxel this late summer are focused on the construction of a new irrigation pond with a new pumping station in the vicinity of the 9A green and the necessary adjustments to the irrigation system.

Bades Huk: Opening of the first 9 holes

08/2021 - The golf course with an exceptional location, on a peninsula jutting into the Baltic Sea. Since 1 August 2021, the first 9 holes of the 18-hole Bades Huk golf course have been opened and cleared for play. The second 9 will follow in the course of the year.

06/2021 - Annika Sörenstam has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to European golf. EIGCA President, Christoph Städler, presented Annika with the Harry Colt Award and praised her achievements in increasing the participation of female golfers. Wittenbeck goes Adlon

06/2021 - Our Ostsee Golf Resort Wittenbeck will soon be renamed the "Adlon Golf und Country Club" and not without reason: Because in the centre of the golf course an exclusive club house and noble holiday residences are to be built. We are responsible for the design of the outdoor facilities in the style of the English 'Arts and Crafts Movement' and the course upgrade and look forward to the start of construction in 2021.

Playing at the Baltic Sea is in prospect

05/2021 - The seeding on the first 9 holes has been completed. Now it's "maintain and watch the grass grow!" so that play at Bades Huk can begin in a few weeks. Meanwhile, construction work on holes 10 to 18 is also in full swing.

03/2021 - Just in time for its 100th anniversary, the Lübeck-Travemünder Golf Klub 1921 e.V. commissioned Städler Golf Courses with a masterplan. With this, the club intends to set up its 27-hole course in a modern and well-equipped manner for the future.

10/2020 - The rough earthworks are progressing well and you can already see many of the new short courses of the Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land. Even the flags are already in place.

Successful bunker renovation in Breitenloo

10/2020 -  In a few days the renovation work will be completed and the Golfclub Breitenloo will be given its "new" bunkers. Since all the surrounding areas have been covered with turf, regular play on all 18 holes can be opened at short notice.

EIGCA - CPD & Golf Day at Hösel

Breitenloo on schedule

09/2020 -  The construction work at Golfclub Breitenloo is progressing so well and rapidly that after 8 weeks most of the work on the 41 bunkers and on the irrigation has already been completed. The Back Nine have already been released for play again.

Exclusive practice area in private garden

05/2020 - A married couple in the eastern Ruhr area is planning a literally exclusive practice area in their 1,300 square metre private garden - equipped with artificial turf from Huxley Golf. Together with Städler Golf Courses and Josef Pötter Golf, Marcel Siem Golf Experience is contributing its experience to this project. 

Modernisation measures in Gifhorn

05/2020 - Golfclub Gifhorn implemented the first modernisation measures in the run-up to the new course rating. Under the supervision of Achim Reinmuth, bunkers were closed and new ones built.

Renovation of Dortmund's 5th green

05/2020 - The Dortmunder Golfclub is using the quiet 'Corona' period to renovate another green in addition to the construction measures already carried out. The 5th green will receive considerably more pin positions but also more sunlight.

Berchtesgaden goes Adventure

18 holes for Bytom

Morsum stays on the ball

Successful renovation of  Hanover's greens

Success in international competition

06/2019 -Städler Golf Courses is back in Switzerland. Christoph Städler's design firm won the competition for the upgrading of the renowned 18-hole course of the Golfclub Breitenloo near Zurich.

Städler again German Champion in the age group 65

05/2019 - At the GC Rehburg-Loccum Christoph Städler defended his German title in the age group 65 with 6 strokes ahead of Hans-Günter Reiter. For Städler it was a start-finish-victory with rounds of 71, 80 and 76 - in the age group 50 his result would have been 6th place.

09/2018 - Last Friday our event "Golf plus Know-how" took place in the Golfpark Hufeisensee in Halle on the Saale. Especially the demonstration of the innovative mowing robot "Turflynx F315" attracted great interest of the participants.

EIGCA honours Bernhard Langer

07/2018 - Bernhard Langer has been honoured by the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) with its Harry Colt Award for outstanding contribution to European golf. The award was presented to Langer by EIGCA president Ross McMurray (pictured left, with Langer and, right, EIGCA vice president Christoph Staedler) at St Andrews on the eve of the Senior Open Championship.

Ahrensburg is back again

06/2018 - With the official opening in mid-June, the unique course of the Golfclub Hamburg-Ahrensburg can once again be played on. In the course of the extensive renovation, all green complexes, all bunkers and the water hazards were overhauled and some holes were completely renovated or built new.

45 holes Öschberghof

06/2018 - From June 45 varied golf holes will be available to members and guests of the Öschberghof in Donaueschingen. From autumn/winter 2018 the owner will complete its 5-star superior golf, SPA and conference resort near the Black Forest with the ceremonial opening of the entire complex.

Collection of medals completed

05/2018 - Christoph Städler, who was German Youth Champion in 1969, won the men's title in 1979, became German Senior Champion in 2012 and now completed his collection with the gold medal in the age category 65, shone after the hard fight all over his face: "I won all age categories I could win". By the way, he was already 55 years ago in Falkenstein the youngest participant at the German Junior Champion of 1963.

04/2018 - The 'Golfclub Stahlberg im Lippetal' receives for its driving range new target greens, two new grass tee boxes, a new tee hut, a new putting green and a partly newly shaped outfield.

Green renovation project at Hannover

03/2018 - Städler Golf Courses has been commissioned to plan the reconstruction of all greens on the Golfclub Hannover, with work set to begin in late 2018 and carry on into 2019. The club is aiming to enhance its course as best it can ahead of its centenary year in 2023.

Semlin turns 25

Städler now Sustainable Design Leader

11/2017 - Christoph Städler successfully completed the further education program "Raising the Standard of Sustainable Golf Course Development (RSSGCD)" of the EIGCA. To this end, he proved his knowledge and experience in terms of sustainability in the planning of golf courses in over 30 online seminars and a detailed case study to Öschberghof. He is now "Sustainable Design Leader".

Burgdorfer Golfclub 4.0

09/2017 - The update has been completed: After the expansion of the Burgdorfer Golfclub by 3 holes and 6 short holes in 2015, all greens and numerous bunkers were renovated last year. With the opening on September 9th, the BGC is presenting itself in a new look and at a very high level.

Ahrensburg - the movie

opening weeks for Städler Golf Courses

06/2017 - Within only 6 weeks we opened our 3rd new golf course. After the Golfpark Hufeisensee (18 holes) and the Öschberghof in Donaueschingen (18 holes), the third 9 holes of the Golfclub Münster-Tinnen came into play on June 11th. For Städler Golf Courses, this means: 53 completed golf courses and 792 golf holes.

05/2017 Aachener GC - The new German senior champion (over 65), Karlheinz Noldt, took the distance from Hans-Günther Reiter (224; +8) with 6 strikes. Third place went to Christoph Städler (G&LC Semlin) with a strong 71er final round (227; +11).

The Öschberghof takes its new East Course into play

05/2017 - In Donaueschingen, the new 18 holes of the East-Course have been put into play, and the opening of the West-Course (9 holes) in the summer is expected. In the long term the Öschberghof offers its members and guests 45 (!) varied golf holes.

Halle now has 18 top golf holes

04/2017 - At the end of April, the Golfpark Hufeisensee completed the first stage of construction and opened its 18 hole course. From now on, the members and guests will be able to enjoy 18 attractive and partly spectacular courses. (In the picture the par-3 hole no. 17)

Städler new EIGCA's vice-president

03/2017 - At this year's Annual General Meeting of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) in Malaga, Christoph Städler was elected vice-president. President for the next 2 years will be Ross McMurray.

Contract for new golf course planning in Poland

01/2017 - Städler Golf Courses received the planning contract for the 9-hole golf course including the short place of the Golf & Spa Resort Krakow in Poland.

Paderborn among the Top Ten!

11/2016 - In the latest edition of the book "The 100 Best Golf Courses in Germany and Austria" by Rainer Schillings, the University Golfclub Paderborn was voted one of the best 10 golf courses in Germany and Austria.

Städler appointed at Dutch Sallandsche Golf Club

11/2016 - Städler Golf Courses was appointed as golf course architect by Sallandsche Golf Club "de Hoek", Netherlands. The agreement is based on a Long Term Development Plan containing proposals for improvements of Sallandsche’s golf course in the next decade.

Autumn sites in Ahrensburg, Burgdorf and Fulda-Rhoen

10/2016 - On September 11, is the first ceremony for the renovation and expansion of Golfclub Hamburg-Ahrensburg. A week later start the renovation of the greens in Burgdorfer Golfclub and at the same time the first reconstruction measures at Golfclub Fulda Rhön.

Städler won silver medal at European Senior Championship 2016

10/2016 - In the finals of the European Senior Men's Team Championship the Germans demonstrated a strong performance and only lost against the Scots in the final.

Re-opening of GC Hamburg-Walddörfer

06/2016 - After the official re-opening in early June members and guests can enjoy the beautiful course again. All greens, the green surroundings, the bunkers, water hazards and some more are completely renovated.

Reinmuth first to qualify for EIGCA's Sustainability Register

03/2016 - Achim Reinmuth has become the first member of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects to qualify for the EIGCA's Sustainability Register. Inclusion on this register is for members who complete the EIGCA's Raising the Standard of Sustainable Golf Course Development programme (RSSGCD) and demonstrates an individual’s industry-leading expertise and experience in sustainable golf course design. He is now "Sustainable Design Leader".
