Number of holes: 27 |

At the beginning of 2006, Golf Club Föhr decided to add 9 holes to its existing 18-hole course. The space available was only 16 hectares and consisted of an almost flat field without any trees or bushes. It may have looked unpromising at first sight, but the sandy soil made it ideal for a golf course.
As a contrast to the wooded 18 holes, we designed the new area as an open landscape. It combines the character of a links course with the charm of a heath-land course. We planted heather on some of the dune ranges between the courses, alternating with festuca grasses typical for links, and scattered small copses.
We’re confident Golf Club Föhr will develop into one of Germany’s classic courses with this extension.
