Improved landscaping as well as upkeep and safety aspects were fundamental considerations in our expertise on the tree cover of Ahrensburg golf course.
After an initial analysis of the existing wooded areas, we drew up a tree cover development plan that examined the strengths and weaknesses of the course and outlined future solutions.
Among the main strengths of the golf course in Ahrensburg are its sporting quality and variety of trees. It’s important to preserve and add to these trees in the future.
On the other hand, the greatest weakness in the tree cover results from the massive planting of mainly non-indigenous conifers some 30 years ago. Today they dominate the landscape of the golf course, and have increasingly changed it for the worse over the years.
