Since 1988 we have been occupied with the various renovation and re-design projects on the 18-hole course. In 1998 we received the contract to plan the third 9-hole course. However, the earthmoving work, carried out by Jelabau construction company, could only get under way in November 2005.
The construction phase was dogged with frequent heavy rainfall, making it much more difficult to work on the soil. Nevertheless, the construction company managed to remain almost on-schedule. Then the summer came with hot and dry conditions that prevented the planned opening in autumn 2006.
However, this delay also had its good side, because it’s always better for a new course if it isn’t played on too soon. And today the result of the members’ patience is plain to see.
