Our approach to this project was based on an understanding of the thoughts of August Weyhausen and Dr. Bernhard von Limburger. We imagined how they would probably have constructed this golf course today with our means. In the days when the course was built, the golf course construction technology we use now was completely unknown in Europe.
We firmly believe Weyhausen and von Limburger would have redesigned this course in a similar way if they had landed the job instead of us.

'Vahrvelous' . CZV GARSTEDTER HEIDE
The tradition-rich club in Bremen has spruced itself up. The Club zur Vahr will be 100 years old on 8th April 2005. That prompted the former German Open course in the Garlstedt heath-landscape to undergo a thorough facelift.
After extensive rejuvenation by the German architect Christoph Städler, the Bremen club has earned itself the distinction of a “must-see course” for years to come.
Städler has succeeded in bringing the course up to today’s standards without spoiling its original design.
