Ultra-luxury resort La Maviglia to open in Puglia in 2027 - Located within sight of the Gulf of Taranto, the future golf resort La Maviglia will set new standards in the Mediterranean as a luxury retreat and will feature a world-class golf course.

Nestled in the heart of the famous Primitivo wine region, La Maviglia will open in Puglia in 2027, combining the charm of the Italian coastal landscape with an unprecedented level of bespoke hospitality. The highly anticipated opening of the 202-hectare resort, located just a few hundred metres from the most picturesque beaches of the Italian peninsula, will also see the opening of the world-class La Maviglia golf course. Städler & Reinmuth Golfdesign was commissioned to plan the high-end 18-hole golf course - which is also set to host tour events.

La Maviglia Golf will integrate countless cultural sights dating back to the 16th and 18th centuries, in particular numerous trulli typical of Apulia, which can be found everywhere on the resort grounds and come into play visually and strategically on numerous holes on the golf course. The landscape is also characterised by countless century-old olive and fig trees, dune landscapes and by the macchia - the typical Mediterranean scrub. Guests will find that sustainability is embedded throughout the design of La Maviglia, with the highest standards of renewable energy, organic vegetable growing, olive oil production and wine cultivation.

Städler & Reinmuth Golfdesign are collaborating on this high-end golf project with renowned irrigation designer Giles Wardle and with leading agronomists Turfgrass, who are also providing agronomic advice to Adare Manor Resort, the venue for the 2027 Ryder Cup in Europe. The top-quality visualisations and the presentation film are being created by Harris& Kalinka.
