The football pitch at the ‘Lindenstadion’ in Blankenhain, which is used for club sport by FSV Grün-Weiß Blankenhain, was renovated on behalf of the Thuringian state development agency (LEG Thüringen) and according to our plans.
The town of Blankenhain now also uses the existing sports facility as an alternative pitch for training camps for national teams and other professional football teams.
Thanks to the involvement of the neighbouring Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land, the federal state of Thuringia hosted European football at the 2024 European Football Championships. The English national team were guests there for the entire duration of their stay in Germany in summer 2024. The German national team also used the accommodation in Weimarer Land for their preparation phase ahead of Euro 2024.
