In 1992, we completely redesigned the Golf and Country Club Nordkirchen and extended it from 9 to 18 holes.
In 2010, the Club planned to renovate and preserve its golf course. That included the renovation of functional areas that had fallen into disrepair, and a redesign aimed at improving quality of play. This made sense because in the medium term the maintenance costs of the over 35-year-old golf course would have exceeded the cost of renovation.
The upgrade covered 44 bunkers, 6 tees and 4 new ponds. The old bunkers and tees were structurally poor, tended to become waterlogged, and were difficult to play or maintain in wet weather and in winter. All this made expert renovation necessary to keep the course in operation. According to many members, the redesign has produced results better than they ever imagined.
