Golfclub Insel Langeoog

The landscape and sporting design of the golf course took its cue from the existing vegetation and landscape. The well-kept greens lie right next to untouched natural stretches of land with the original variety of plant life. Some wet heath and creep-grazing areas were deliberately included in hole designs, confronting players with natural hazards.

All the modelling is perfectly in tune with the local landscape. It was necessary to add more soil, mainly for the greens and holes as well as to raise the tees by an average of 40 cm. Yet the ground was so gently modelled that nothing looks out of place.

Despite their overall shortness, the constant wind means the holes are not easy to play. In fact, they present players of any handicap with serious challenges.

PRESSESTIMMEN

Wind, taktisch angelegte Bunker, Wasserhindernisse und die sehr großen, leicht ondulierten Greens sind für alle Handicapklassen eine echte Herausforderung.
